ARTISTIC DIRECTOR...

Mr. T. Herbert Dimmock has been Music Director of the Harford Choral Society since the 2003-04 season. In addition to his work with the HCS, he also serves as the organist of Camp Hill United Methodist Church in Camp Hill, PA; director of the Bach Concert Series at Christ Lutheran Church in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD;president & artistic director of the 26-voice
 

Herb Dimmock Singers; and choirmaster for the Chizuk Amuno Congregation in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Dimmock is also Director Emeritus of The Handel Choir of Baltimore, a group he established and for which he served as music director for 25 years. He is currently on the faculty of Harford Community College.

In recognition of his work in this region, Maestro Dimmock has been honored with numerous awards, including citations from Baltimore City, Baltimore County, the State of Maryland, Who's Who, and the International Biographical Institute.

Mr. Dimmock has played in organ recitals at many of the world’s most prestigious sites, including Westminster Abbey, Winchester Cathedral, the National Cathedral, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. His conducting credits include many major ensembles throughout the world, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the International Bach Academy Orchestra, Gechingcr Cantorei, Stuttgart, Germany, and the Handel Festival Orchestra.

A graduate of Davidson College and Peabody Conservatory, Mr. Dimmock pursued further study with Greg Smith, Roger Wagner, Robert Shaw and Helmuth Rilling.
Mr. Dimmock lives in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Dr. Rebecca Bascom and their two children, Anne and Thomas.
